My name is Jenny Curry, and my passion is serving people through a dynamic health and fitness program that provides something for everyone. It brings me pure joy to see individuals, friends, co-workers and family members getting healthy together. My favorite part of this journey is watching the impossible become possible. My heart’s desire is to impact my community with health and fitness at an unprecedented level. As the owner of Jenny Mae Fitness, a level 2 certified Personal Trainer and certified Group Fitness Instructor, I hope to pioneer a new, fun, and exciting fitness experience for all participants. Come and enjoy personal training sessions, 24/7 gym access, or group fitness classes like Pound, Battle Ropes, and Hip Hop Step. I am here to help you become your best self.

I am a mom of two awesome boys, ages 21 and 13. I have been married to my husband Stephen for 17 years. After being a stay at home mom for 15 years and working various “jobs”, I felt like I was always searching for a career. At the same time, I was overweight, suffering with painful joints, and with very low self-esteem. I realized I needed to find myself first, and then pursue a career.
I contacted Jenny Mae a little over a year ago about training with her, and the rest is history. I have lost 50+ pounds and literally changed my life. Now, I find joy in using my own experience and qualifications to help people change theirs. I know exactly how you feel. I don’t have to try to put myself in your shoes… I have walked in your shoes and I can help you turn your life around, too! Although it may not always be easy and you may face a few hurdles, you can be sure that you will eventually look at your body in a whole new light. You’ll not only look good but also feel better, happier, and more confident. All you have to do is take that first step on the journey to your new life and show up!

Hello, my name is Becky Dye and I’m the woman who had the Jazzercise Album and Richard Simmons VHS tape blasting in my home while trying to exercise on my own. I ended up with quite the collection of various at home DVDs that I would put on and enjoy from my living room. But about 10 years ago, I experienced my first group exercise class and loved it. It was a Zumba class, and I couldn’t stop smiling. It was so fun and changed my life.
I decided that I wanted to share that joy with others. I found a place to get the Zumba certification, traveled to Charlotte NC and that’s when my journey as a group fitness instructor began.
Today I have Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning and Zumba Kids certifications and SPIN. My favorite time of the week is when I get the opportunity to share fitness, fun and music with others. I look forward to meeting you. I have a chair saved just for you!

I started my fitness journey around 6-7 years ago. In 2012 an injury caused limited mobility so with that I packed on the pounds. I went from 150 lbs up to 232 lbs and was miserable! I started doing pound with Jenny Mae and loved it. Within a few months I was down 20 lbs. Over the past few years I have lost most of the weight, it’s been a long journey but it’s been worth it. I started taking Dance2fit classes and took a great interest in it. I love any of the dancing classes! When Jenny asked me if I would be willing to teach a dance class I said yes and jumped right on the opportunity. It’s been a fun and learning experience which I enjoy a great deal.

I am Jennifer Short, a mother of two boys, Hunter (25) and Dawson (16). I am also a Mimi to five grandchildren. I have been married for 19 years to my husband, Bubby and have worked as a pharmacy technician for 21 years. My fitness journey began after a trip to Key West, where I felt ashamed and embarrassed about my weight in the photos we took. Determined to make a change, I reached out to Jenny and joined the gym. Since then, I have lost 68 lbs, stopped taking blood pressure medication, and feel better than ever. Teaching HIIT classes and Battle Ropes has been a rewarding experience, as I enjoy encouraging and empowering other women. Joining Jenny Mae fitness has not only provided me with an amazing gym but also a supportive community. Taking that first step towards a healthier lifestyle is something you won't regret.

Hi, my name is Lyn Tatum and I am a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I am married to my wonderful husband Todd and we have 4 children, JD, Thai, Makayla, and Ausha. My absolute heart's desire is to help inspire women to be the very best version of themselves with God as our guide. From a young age, I have always had a love for fitness, participating in various sports during my school years. Jenny Mae Fitness has given me a place to continue that journey by allowing me to make health and fitness a priority. JMF is more than just a ladies gym, we are a family that provides a safe place to learn and grow! Come and join us!

My name is Kaitlin Pruitt. I am 28 years old and from Richlands, VA. I am currently employed at Richlands High School where I teach special education. In July 2022, I married the man of my dreams. I am a bonus mom to two kids and a dog mom.
I have taught yoga for the past three years. I fell in love with yoga while I was in college and have actively attended group classes since then. I taught at the YMCA at SWCC and at Anytime Fitness. I took time off last summer to prepare for my wedding. My fitness journey took a pause while I was wedding planning, and I struggled finding the motivation to workout again until I found Jenny Mae Fitness. I attended the Holiday Fit challenge at JMF and fell in love with the atmosphere of the gym. I love group fitness, and I found my love for working out again. JMF has women of all fitness levels who encourage each other, pray for each other, and lift each other up-physically, emotionally, and spiritually. When I was asked to teach a group fitness class I jumped on the opportunity! I am currently teaching both Battle Ropes and Yoga.
Physically, I have not met all of my goals yet; however, I am a work in progress and am intentionally working toward my fitness goals. My goal as a group fitness instructor is to help women reach their goals as I reach my own. I want to be a positive influence and support system for anyone who walks into the gym. I am thrilled to be part of the team at JMF.

I joined Jenny Mae Fitness in June 2022 with a determination to change my life. Despite being overweight and out of shape at 52 years old, I prioritized my health after retiring from full-time employment. Through personal training and support from Jenny and the amazing ladies at JMF, I have lost 40 pounds, gained muscle, and improved my overall fitness. I have even become the leader of the Fit and Fabulous support group. My journey continues as I work on improving my cardio fitness and achieving new goals. I am grateful to Jenny Mae for transforming my life.
